Required Gear for Swim Team:

  • Goggles: You can purchase goggles from the team (contact the coach) or at any swim shop or sports store (such as Academy). Target and Walgreens sell goggles during the summer months. All swimmers are required to wear goggles during all practices and meets to ensure the safety of other swimmers in the pool.
  • Team Suit: Girls Speedo "Victory Splice" proback in black/purple and boys Speedo "Quantum Spliced" jammer in black/purple. You can purchase the team suit at Lane Four Swim Shop in Austin by visiting the store in the Crossroads Shopping Center at 183 & Burnet Road or order online on the Lane Four Web site.

Suggested Gear:

  • Swim Parka (for the winter swim team): More info will be sent to swimmers after the season starts about custom-ordered parkas.
  • Swim Bag: Swimmers participating in winter meets are encouraged to get a swim bag with waterproof storage for gear brought to meets.
  • Swimcap: The team sells a unisex, custom, silicone swimcap or you can purchase one at any swim shop. Caps are strongly encouraged for girls, especially those with long hair.
